Zeina Pumpkin Kernel 340 g

Shelled and ready to use, Zeina Pumpkin Kernel is the flat olive-green seed found inside the pumpkin, sold without its white husk. Raw, the kernels are tender with a soft snap and a mild, grassy, nutty taste; a few minutes in a dry pan or a hot oven turns them crisp, darker and far more aromatic. Toss them warm over salads and roast vegetables, press them into bread and rolls before baking, stir them into granola and cookie dough, or grind them to a green crumb for coating fish. Tumbled with a little lime and chilli they sit well in a bowl for guests. Supplied in a resealable pouch that keeps the kernels dry and crisp. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

مقشور وجاهز للاستخدام، لبّ اليقطين من زينة هو البذرة المسطحة الخضراء الزيتونية داخل حبة القرع، تُباع بلا قشرتها البيضاء. نيئة تكون الحبّات طرية بقرمشة خفيفة وطعم عشبي جوزي هادئ؛ ودقائق قليلة في مقلاة جافة أو فرن ساخن تجعلها مقرمشة أغمق لوناً وأكثر عطراً. تُقلّب دافئة فوق السلطات والخضار المحمّرة، وتُغرز في الخبز والصمون قبل الخبز، وتُخلط في الغرانولا وعجين الكوكيز، أو تُطحن إلى فتافيت خضراء لتغليف السمك. وإذا قُلّبت بقليل من الليمون والشطة صارت لقمة خفيفة تبقى في وعاء للضيوف. تأتي في كيس قابل لإعادة الإغلاق يحفظ الحبّات جافة مقرمشة. يُحفظ في مكان بارد وجاف بعيداً عن أشعة الشمس المباشرة.
