Zeina Pomegranate Seeds 180 g

Zeina Pomegranate Seeds are dried pomegranate arils, known as anardana, shrunk down to dark ruby-brown nuggets with a chewy, slightly sticky bite and a small crunch from the seed inside. The taste is concentrated sour-sweet fruit, sharper than fresh pomegranate and closer to dried cranberry with a tannic edge. Scatter them over fattoush, rice and grain salads, over labneh, hummus and muhammara, and over rice pudding, cakes and luqaimat. Cooks in Gulf and Levantine kitchens also crush them into stews, kofta mixtures and fish marinades wherever a sour note is wanted without extra liquid. Soak them briefly in warm water to plump them up. Supplied in a resealable pouch. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

حبّ الرمان من زينة حبّات رمان مجففة تُسمّى أنارْدانا، تقلّصت إلى قطع بلون العنّاب الداكن بقضمة مطاطية لزجة قليلاً وقرمشة صغيرة من البذرة في داخلها. طعمها فاكهي مركّز بين الحامض والحلو، أكثر حدّة من الرمان الطازج وأقرب إلى الكرَز المجفف بلمسة عفصة. تُنثر على الفتوش والأرز وسلطات الحبوب، وعلى اللبنة والحمص والمحمّرة، وعلى المهلبية والكيك واللقيمات. ويستخدمها الطهاة في مطابخ الخليج وبلاد الشام مدقوقة في اليخنات وخلطات الكفتة وتتبيلات السمك حيث يُراد طعم حامض دون سائل إضافي. وتُنقع دقائق في ماء دافئ لتنتفخ. تأتي في كيس قابل لإعادة الإغلاق. يُحفظ في مكان بارد وجاف بعيداً عن أشعة الشمس المباشرة.
