Zeina Crushed Cardamom 90 g

Zeina Crushed Cardamom is green cardamom cracked coarsely with the pod and the dark seeds kept together, so none of the aroma is lost in sorting. Because the shell is already broken, it infuses much faster than whole pods and needs no pestle at the stove. The scent is cool and resinous with citrus and a whisper of camphor. Spoon it straight into the dallah for qahwa, into karak tea as it comes to the boil, over kabsa and mandi rice, or into rice pudding, cake batter and luqaimat syrup. A quarter teaspoon is enough for one pot of coffee. Strain the coarse pieces out of drinks before pouring if you prefer a clear cup. Supplied in a resealable pouch. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

الهيل المجروش من زينة هيل أخضر مكسور جرشاً خشناً مع بقاء القرن وحبّاته الداكنة معاً، فلا يضيع شيء من العطر في الفرز. ولأن القشرة مكسورة أصلاً، ينقل نكهته أسرع بكثير من القرون الكاملة ولا يحتاج مدقّة عند الموقد. عطره بارد راتنجي بلمسة حمضية وهمسة كافور. ضعه مباشرة في الدلّة للقهوة، أو في شاي الكرك عند الغليان، أو فوق أرز الكبسة والمندي، أو في المهلبية وخلطة الكيك وشيرة اللقيمات. ربع ملعقة صغيرة تكفي لدلّة قهوة واحدة. صفِّ القطع الخشنة من المشروب قبل الصبّ إن أحببت فنجاناً صافياً. يأتي في كيس قابل لإعادة الإغلاق. يُحفظ في مكان بارد وجاف بعيداً عن أشعة الشمس المباشرة.
